2, uninstall huawei in program
3, remove huawei modem in your pc or laptop
4, open Huawei 3g modem driver and run driver uninstall and wait 20 sec, to 1min. to complete removed driver from your system.
5. from huawei 3g modem driver folder , run driver setup.
6. plug huawei e160 to your pc or laptop, and wait until pc detect your modem and completely installed.
7, after pc recognize your Huawei 3g modem. you can now update your modem firmware.
8. download huawei E160 firmware. http://download.myusbmodem.com/download.php?file=/Huawei%20Origional%20Firmwares/E160/E160Update_11.609.10.02.432.B418.zip&start=1
9, after download huawei E160 firmware , run and fallow instruction.
10. after successfully update, proceed to unlocking

12, run Huawei modem unlocker by bojs, click refresh/ select model/ and read MDM data to calculate unlock code. or check auto unlock modem b4 click read MDM data.
13, note if your modem are 0 counter . you must reset counter first in service area b4 proceed to unlocking.

ReplyDeleteI have a E160g modem which doesn't work now after I had updated it's firmware from the web. It is already unlocked.
I have followed your instructions here: downloaded the driver and firmware and tried it out as you have stated.
My modem is still not (fully) recognized by my computer (acer Extensa 5220) running on Win7.
As I understand ...there are 2 stages of driver installations: first part is OK (I can see a usb device 'Huawei Mobile' drive E:) But the second stage of installation is not taking place after which I would be able to also see another drive - my SDcard inside the 3g modem and the modem itself.
I believe the second part of installation files are needed as well.
Please help me out to recover my modem
